    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    The Coordinator, Discounted Fare Programs reports directly to the Director, Revenue and Fares This position supports and facilitates the administration of discounted fare programs for those who qualify.  The role will work to monitor, train, process improve, facilitate, and enable groups to have access to discounted fares where applicable. This position will also work closely with other internal groups such as Capital Projects, Enterprise Program Management, IT, Operations and Marketing and Communications, Legal, Finance. Public Safety, and Strategic Planning and Development. 

     

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Aid in the implementation, auditing, and monitoring of discounted fare programs.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert of the discounted fare programs, including the Unhoused Transit Pass Program, representing CapMetro at various functions and events.
    • Manage discounted fare programs for eligible populations, including seniors, students, low-income riders, and individuals with disabilities in collaboration with the Manager of Fares and the Director of Revenue and Fares. 
    • Develop and conduct outreach strategies and initiatives to educate the community, increase awareness and participation in discounted fare programs.
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, Marketing and Communications, external organizations, and clients to gather feedback and/or data and information to strengthen and improve the programs.
    • Conduct field work and field visits to support and ensure compliance for the programs as needed.
    • Manage and coordinate the daily operations of our discounted fare initiatives.
    • Develop and implement processes to ensure efficient program delivery.
    • Monitor program performance and prepare regular reports on usage and impact.
    • Serve as the primary contact for program participants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Maintain accurate records of program participants, applications, and related data.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for expansion.
    • Ensure program compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to funding agencies and stakeholders.
    • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform program improvements.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of new initiatives and enhancements to existing programs.
    • Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff follows safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and ensures safety and security concerns are reported. 
    • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned in support of CapMetro Strategic goals and Priorities, and ensure they are aligned with our Vision, Mission, and objectives.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, business administration, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years.
    • Four (4) years of experience in program coordination, program management, community outreach, or related field. 
    • Proficient experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
